The St. Vrain Creek Coalition has a membership who serves in and advisory role to the Board of Directors. The SVCC holds a monthly Members Meeting on the 4th Wednesday of each month starting at 4pm, after which the Board of Directors meets. These meetings are open to the public.
The SVCC is actively seeking members who have a variety of interests in the Saint Vrain Watershed, including recreation, agriculture, ecology, conservation, education, specific reaches of the watershed, volunteering, etc. Just fill out our form (online below or hardcopy found here and submit it to Erika Shioya.
Members are encouraged to join one of the SVCC’s Committees, listed below. You can indicate which committee(s) you may be interested in on your membership form, or you can always decide at a later time that you would like to join a committee by emailing staff or by coming to the monthly meeting and talking to the Committee Chair. Aquatics Committee: Provides input on projects in the area of aquatic ecosystems. Topics discussed include: fish passage, habitat preservation/enhancements/ research and data collection, and information sharing for situational awareness of impacts of flood recovery activities taking place in the watershed.
Governance Committee: Identifies, researches, and develops policies and procedures for the SVCC, as needed.
Fundraising Committee: Works towards helping the SVCC become a sustainable organization beyond our grant funding. Activities include outreach to community members, database building, grant writing, development and design of promotional materials, event planning and hosting, relationship building with business and community, as well as a number of other activities.
Projects Committee: Identifies needs and priorities in the watershed, as well as funding potentials for projects. Promotes active SVCC representation on projects taking place around the watershed.
