About Us

The Saint Vrain Creek Coalition formed in 2014 in response to the September 2013 floods that devastated 18 Colorado counties. Stakeholders – including Boulder County, the Town of Lyons, the City of Longmont, residents and landowners – organized together to create theĀ Coalition for a more resilient St. Vrain Creek Watershed.

The St. Vrain Creek Coalition is a locally driven, non-governmental, non-regulatory community-based organization that facilitates stewardship and restoration projects based on scientific analysis to improve watershed health and develop partnerships to plan, fund, and implement those projects.
